The exhibition deals with the forms of remembering and (re-)thinking of National Socialism and mass murder and their consequences to this day.

The exhibition comprises three projects in which other, unexpected concepts are shown instead of a traditional visual language:

  • Grasnarben - Photographs of former Nazi camps in Northwest Germany (Barbara Millies and Harald Jo Schwörer, 2005)
  • no - more - war . biz, film installation (Barbara Millies and Harald Jo Schwörer, 2015)
  • Amid. Traces of National Socialism in Worpswede, today, photographs (Barbara Millies, 2019)

It is important to ask: Which forms of remembrance are appropriate? Which forms of dealing with the Nazi past can contribute to actively campaigning for democratic rights and values, today?
